Night Owl

A mother settles her baby with the soft rumbling of the night train in the distance. An image celebrating the sound of silence in the city that never sleeps.

My image has been shortlisted for the Association of Illustrators' (AOI) 2017 'Prize for Illustration' and will be on display as part of the 'Sounds of the City' exhibition at the London Transport Museum, 19th May - 3rd September 2017.

Hoody Monster

A series of images developed in 2006 following a period of intense media coverage of youth knife-violence, and connections made in the House of Commons to the hooded sweatshirt.

Prime Minister David Cameron capitalised on this association by launching his 'Hug a Hoodie' campaign, an attempt to present a softer more compassionate Conservativism to the public. Meanwhile, cuts to education and youth programming, particularly in London, had never been so ruthless.
